The rapid evolution of in-vehicle displays has seen screen sizes grow exponentially in recent years. While six-inch displays were once standard, many current models feature screens exceeding twenty inches, with some incorporating even larger curved or irregularly shaped panels. This trend toward larger formats has significantly increased packaging and transportation costs, creating pressure points in the supply chain.

AUO's North American production initiative directly addresses these logistical challenges. Local manufacturing will reduce shipping distances, lower transportation costs, and improve supply chain responsiveness - critical factors for automakers operating in an environment of rapid technological change and just-in-time production schedules.
